

The School of Law – Dhirubhai Ambani University is pleased to announce that Dr. Niteesh Kumar Upadhyay, Associate Professor of Law, represented India at the 5th International Youth Forum held at the United Nations Conference Center, Thailand.
Dr. Upadhyay delivered a keynote address on “Inclusive Cities, Informed Citizens: Empowering Human Rights through Education, Law, and Local Governance”. He discussed how legal frameworks, informed citizenry, and human rights education can help build inclusive urban spaces and strengthen democratic governance. His keynote brought an important Indian perspective to global discussions on youth, rights, and community leadership.
The Forum saw participation from senior international dignitaries, including Mr. Felipe Paullier Olivera, Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs, United Nations; Mr. Anukul Peedkaew, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Thailand; Dr. Mary Shuttleworth, President, Youth for Human Rights International; ambassadors from Italy, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Ireland, Pakistan, South Africa, Mexico, Bangladesh, and Portugal; along with global thought leaders such as Dr. Elliott Lancaster MBE and Mr. Bhoop Dev Shah.
Dr. Upadhyay’s representation marks a significant moment of recognition at a major global platform, contributing to meaningful dialogue on human rights, education, and governance.
