Trade policy is no longer the domain of governments alone. Rather, it is a strategic concern for 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀, 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀 and 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲. Shifting regulatory frameworks and heightened global interdependence have made it imperative for legal education to stay deeply aligned with practice.

Recognizing this shift, the School of Law - Dhirubhai Ambani University has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Economic Laws Practice (ELP) in Mumbai, focused around collaborating as thought leaders in the arena of 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆.

The MoU was signed by Prof (Dr) Avinash Dadhich, Founding Director of the 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮𝘄, and Mr. Sanjay Notani, 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 & 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 & 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗘𝗟𝗣. The collaboration was initiated and facilitated by Dr. Manuj Bhardwaj, Founding Faculty at the School of Law.

We plan to bring together legal scholars, regulators, and practitioners, with our goal being to enable a rich exchange on contemporary developments in 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆, 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀, 𝗙𝗧𝗔𝘀, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺𝘀 and 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀. Through this partnership, the 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮𝘄 & 𝗘𝗟𝗣 aim to advance scholarship, research and capacity-building initiatives in critical areas of global trade regulation and cross-border commerce. The MoU also envisions mutual participation in 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲, 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲-𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, and 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀.

This partnership builds toward a shared vision i.e. to contribute to the development of legal ecosystems that are responsive to global trade realities, and capable of shaping the conversations that define them.
