The School of Law, Dhirubhai Ambani University, in collaboration with the International Law Institute (ILI), Washington D.C., will host Hon’ble Justice Amit Bansal, Judge, High Court of Delhi, as the Chief Guest for the second edition of the Senior Executive Development Programme on Tax Law & Regulatory Strategies for the Boardroom. The programme will be held from 13–15 December 2025 at Le Meridien, New Delhi.
Justice Bansal brings to the programme over three decades of legal experience across litigation, advisory practice, and the judiciary. A third-generation lawyer with an LL.M. from Northwestern University, USA, his professional trajectory spans arbitration law, indirect taxation, commercial law, and education law. Prior to his elevation to the Bench, he served as Standing Counsel for the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and as Counsel for the High Court of Delhi, positioning him at the intersection of tax administration, regulatory design, and judicial review.
The Senior Executive Development Programme is designed for senior leaders, in-house counsel, and decision-makers seeking to engage with tax law not merely as a compliance function, but as a strategic governance issue with direct boardroom implications. Justice Bansal’s judicial and policy-facing experience adds a critical dimension to discussions on regulatory discretion, interpretive uncertainty, dispute resolution, and the evolving contours of tax adjudication in India.
His participation reinforces the programme’s emphasis on examining tax and regulatory strategy through the lens of institutional practice and judicial reasoning, offering participants an opportunity to engage with how legal principles are applied, contested, and refined in real-world regulatory contexts rather than in abstraction.
